The summer holidays have flown by! After a fantastic few weeks of welcoming visitors throughout the school break, it’s time for backpacks to be packed, uniforms to come back out and children across the country to head back to school.
And here at the museum, that means one thing too…
Our term-time opening hours are returning! 🕐
Whether you’re planning a weekday visit, looking for something different to do on a Friday, or joining us for a weekend packed with film, sci-fi, gaming and bricks, make sure you check our opening times before setting off.

Monday: Closed
Tuesday – Thursday: 11am – 5pm
Friday: 10.30am – 6pm
Saturday: 10.30am – 6pm
Sunday: 10.30am – 4.30pm
While the summer holidays might be over, there is still plenty to discover!
🎬 National Film & Sci-Fi Museum
Step into the world of film and television history and discover an incredible collection of props, costumes, models, creatures and memorabilia.
From practical effects and miniature model-making to instantly recognisable pieces from some much-loved productions, there are stories waiting around every corner.
And remember — we’re a working museum, so you never quite know what might be changing, arriving or being worked on between visits!

With over five million bricks, there’s a LOT to explore at Brickz Museum!
Take your time looking through the enormous displays, spot all the tiny details, hunt for your favourite minifigures and admire the imagination and hours of work that go into bringing these brick-built worlds to life.
There’s always something you missed the first time around! 👀

If retro gaming is more your thing, you can also journey through gaming history at Pixel Bunker — or make a proper day of it and explore all three attractions!

Heading back to school might signal the end of summer, but we’ve got plenty planned for the months ahead.
